A Taste of Honey- Day 13

“Remember only that I was innocent and, just like you, mortal on that day. I, too, had a face marked by rage, by joy and pity, quite simply, a human face!” Benjamin Fondane (murdered at Auschwitz)

The Holocaust Museum was our first destination of day 13. After everything we see God doing in this nation, it was incredibly hard to see what they went through less than 80 years ago. They were depicted as subhuman. It was a sobering reminder that we are all created in God’s image— as we recite in the “Shema”, we see God’s plan; to love Him with everything we have, and to love each other as ourselves.

We went to the open air markets in the evening and had a great time. Travel home is tomorrow!
