From Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, we converged at the JFK airport with anticipation. We arrived by air, train, and pickup truck.
Our group leader, Joe Mullet, had all of our tickets and took care of numerous details.
Joe gave us a brief lesson on Middle East geography. He also gave us advice on relating to Israeli security.
We boarded the Royal Jordanian Airlines 787 Dreamliner and settled in for a long night. Except it was a short night because we were flying east toward the rising sun. We would cross seven time zones before landing in Amman, Jordan.
Ah, a Dreamliner! We toured the Boeing plant in 2007 when they were just starting production. Ever since, I’ve been hoping to fly on one sometime. Pretty much won’t happen without international travel, though.

That really cool, Karlin. I think traveling to Israel would increase your chances of flying in a Dreamliner! 🙂 I hope you get to fly in on someday.
