A Well-Kept Vine

Last week as we were heading south we stopped in hill country of Judah. As we walked along the path and fields we observed the different trees and plants. I saw this grapevine all by itself, a wild grape vine. {Read Isaiah 5}

Wild Vine

As you can see we also found a beautiful wine press in the field. (Beautiful after we cleaned it out and cleared away the rubble.) So we have a wild grapevine and a wine press covered with rubble. Think of this as you read Isaiah 5. Perhaps you can decide why we often find wild grapes and lives covered with rubble.

Check this grapevine on the wall, it is trimmed and well kept. There are no wild grapes but instead sweet grapes. Is this what our life looks like?
