Day Six Posted on June 9, 2014 by Walk in the Land -See With Your Eyes, Hear With Your Ears- An early morning reflection on a boat similar to one of Jesus time. To capture the feelings of the disciples in our own hearts Our guide, giving us some historical details and insights. The ancient synagogue where Jesus more than likely stood. The seat of Moses in traditional synagogue. A house where extended family such as grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins all lived in rooms adjoined to the original house, forming a community called an Insula. Ruins of one of the ten cities of the Decapolis where the demon possessed man most likely was healed and the pigs ran into the sea. At this point of the story the disciples refused to get out of the boat with Jesus. This man, set free, helped pave the way for the gospel to be preached in the Decapolis. Lets examine ourselves……. Are we too scared to get out of the boat with Jesus like the disciples? Or will we go with him into the face of the enemy and share the victory with Jesus?! A basilica from the Byzantine time period. Also in the area of the Decapolis. The Jordan River. A place in the Jordan where hearts were touched and re-dedicated. Where freedom and joy were found. A touching moment that will change lives forever. Share this:EmailPrintWhatsAppTelegramLike Loading... Related
